Unlike the bitcoin's creator who still remains as a mystery, we got to know Ethereum's creator Vitalik Buterin. He is a Russian-Canadian programmer and writer who is best known as one of the co-founders of Ethereum.
He began writing for a publication called Bitcoin Weekly after meeting a person on a bitcoin forum in order to earn bitcoin. The owner of the publication offered to pay them atleast 5 bitcoins per article written (at that time bitcoin is still at $3.50 per coin).
In 2013 the he first described ethereum in a white paper as a "decentralised mining network and software development platform rolled into one" that will facilitate the creation of new cryptocurrencies and program on the same blockchain. Ethereum's white paper was circulated and interest grew in the new protocol in late 2013 and early 2014.
