I think pixel art is another field of attraction that is different from normal painting.
I want to share some of the tools I've been using since I've been making games and doing this and that. :)
1. Paint (MSpaint)
Unlike other image work, pixel art that does not require a variety of tools, gradients or effects can also be created with Paint.
I think that Paint may be convenient for those who have a hard time adapting to the interface of other tools!
Pen and palette, once you have the minimum requirements for pixel art, it may not be too difficult to draw.
Above all, it is free, so it may be good for those who do not need many functions and want to draw simply!
2. Clip studio
I think Clip Studio is the most accessible of the growing picture software.
It's not that expensive, it supports a variety of materials, and you can use some of the Photoshop features almost the same.
Therefore, it is possible to work with pixel art using materials, and it is a really useful tool if you get used to it.
I've been using it for several years, and almost all of my drawings, pixel art, and image editing are solved with one click.
3. Aseprite
Asprite is a software specialized for pixel art.
An animation function is also supported within the tool for use in 2D games,
It's a tool made for the purpose of making dots, with various auxiliary functions for pixel art!
Since I was using Clip Studio, I couldn't fully adapt to the tool, but the pixel animating feature was really convenient!
I think it will be used in parallel with Clip Studio when making games in the future.
There is no right answer for any tool, but I would personally recommend paid tools like Clip Studio and Acesprite!
Paid tools are paid for a reason...
Both Acesprite and Clip Studio are on sale and you can get them for around 20,000 won!
Both Cltu and Ace Sprite were good, so I think it would be good to buy them after seeing the timing of the sale, or just buy the ones that appeal to you. :D
