I feel like this is how most triple A game companies do it nowadays. They'd call it early access since the game is still riddled with bugs and they ran out of time and budget for it. They'd still make profit on early access since at some point you have to pay for some of the features lol.
Sadly, this is way too true in today's games
Shame. Early access had good intentions too but a lot of devs have abused it.

This is one of the reason I check the comment section and some gameplays review at you tube.
It was like a paid demo. lol
