I found a tip on the internet last year (can't remember where) for
popping popcorn which made my popcorn so much better. When you go to
heat your oil or butter, put 3 kernels in with it. When they pop, the
oil is the right temperature to add the rest of the kernels. They start
popping pretty quickly when they go in at the right temperature, and
most of the kernels pop without burning any.
