Dakinitten is a Buddhist deity (heaven) [1]. She is considered to be a kind of Yaksha. The name "Dakini" is a transliteration of the Sanskrit word dakini (Ḍākinī). She is also written in kanji as Dakinitten [1] or Takiniten [1], and is also called Taten. Dakinitten "Ten" is a name unique to Japan, and in Chinese Buddhist scriptures, "Ten" is not added, and she is written simply as Dakinitten. Dakinit originally referred to a group or tribe, but in Japan Dakinitten came to refer to a single deity. In Japan, she was confused and syncretized with the Inari faith [1][3], and is generally depicted as a heavenly maiden riding a white fox [1][4]. He is said to be a fox spirit and is identified with Inari Gongen and Izuna Gongen.[5] He is also called Tatsukoo Bosatsu.[4] He carries a sword[1], a jewel[1], a bundle of rice, a sickle, etc.
