I mean think of it. Its fur is made of fire, it burns whenever its excited or happy so that could be dangerous when you're using it as a ride. Lol, I've seen a lot of times in the show where people use them as a horse. Even Ash once rode his Ponyta/Rapidash.

Ash will have no problem after all his family named him Ashe because they know someday he will ride ponyta/Rapidash he will be literally ash in a matter of seconds.
