Were you able to play this game when you were young? This was originally released as a coin operated arcade game but then was ported to NES in 1988. I've had a lot of good times with this game and really enjoyed it. Used to beat it a lot of times still felt good every time I finish it.

Me and my cousin wasted so many coins playing this at an arcade. Fun times.
Used to play with my cousin on their console. Can't remember if we ever cleared that game. Hahaha
