"l'appel du vide" or the "Call of the Void" is a sudden impulse you get
to jump off heights or hurl yourself to anything that could kill you.
Its a form of affirmation that your mind does to see if you have the will to live.
Some say it's a scary experience but I find it amazing. Really puts my life
in perspective. One more step and I could be falling down to my death.
It sends a wave of existential dread, longing, and a beguiling sense of
Peace when I get the call.
Its weirdly calming and not scary.
Feels like it I answer the call of the void, everything would be
alright. I'm tempted to accept it sometimes.
