Russia's oldest prison was found to be a location of a crypto mining farm. The term they used is not just a "hub" but a "farm" I wonder how big it was and how it got off the radar.
The report released by news.bitcoin.com said that:
"A high-ranking representative of the management of Butyrskaya prison, in the Tverskoy District of central Moscow, is under investigation for setting up a crypto mining farm. Also known as Butyrka, this is the oldest prison in Russia, built in the distant 1771."
A yeah, the absure of power is too much and I know this too well.
The machines consumed almost 8,400 kW of electricity paid by the government at a total cost of more than 62,000 rubles (close to $1,000).
Imagine your taxes going into the pockets of the person who set the mining farm up.
