Cryptocurrency Mining Processors (CMP) dropped by 77% from the previous quarter.
If you can remember Nvidia announced the introduction of crypto-specific CMPs in February of last year as a way of protecting sales of its flagship GPUs for gamers. Then, in the second quarter of last year, Nvidia said its CMP unit generated revenue of $266 million.
One reason that I see is that, a lot of countries are banning crypto mining so why buy a new processor if mining is illegal. Another thing is maybe because it got too expensive? Though, I am not sure and there reasons are just based on my opinion.
