Walmart is preparing to create its own cryptocurrency and NFTs, filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office show. Sounds like Walmart is gearing up for a full-blown online experience, where shoppers can actually own their stuff in the metaverse.
Per CNBC, 7 separate applications were filed last month ... and in addition to being able to virtually shop Walmart stores in VR… the retailer is looking to offer their own line of unique NFTs as well as their own crypto.
