Bitcoin (BTC) is off to a slow start as traders ring in the new year.

The leading cryptocurrency was almost flat over the past 24 hours, changing hands around $46,730 near the bottom of a one-month-old price range.
While the rest of the crypto top ten by market cap suffered some minor losses, besides Terra (LUNA) which dropped by 6.58%. Binance coin (BNB) ticked 0.94% lower and Ripple (XRP) lost 0.77%. Only Ethereum (ETH) managed to post some gains of 2.03%.
