It's obvious that they were going to be together at some point. Their relationship isn't as romantic but you can definitely feel that their feeling towards each other is strong. And that family portrait of them is adorable as heck. Anime/manga is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for those people who lives under a rock.
