This is how polar bears traverse thin ice

They would basically spread their arms and legs and crawl on the ice so it will not break. It looks funny and cute at the same time. It's kind of awesome they were able to figure out crossing thin ice like this. When they are in a prone position like this their weight is evenly distributed on their body so it does not create that much pressure on the ice.
