Scientists in New Zealand have discovered a rare and newly hatched ghost shark, a little-known species found in the deepest parts of the ocean.
The deep-water animal, also scientifically known as a chimera, was found in a recent survey 1,200 meters off the east coast of South Island by New Zealand’s National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research
