Generally, swans don't care about other swans or other animals. They're usually selfish creatures lol. This swan did not break the ice for the other swans and ducks behind it. It just want to get out of the water lol. The others just followed the path hence it became like an icebreaker. Look at the one duck in the background though. You can see it just decided to walk on the ice and not swim and follow the others lol.
