Or maybe this is a leopard? I'm not really sure but it looks more like a female lion to me, Anyway, I don't think this animal is actually being playful. My guess would be it has been tranquilized and then the meds is wearing off hence it's clawing like that. It can't seem to fight since most likely it's still groggy. Look at how it just sat there after the woman dropped it.
