Episode 5 of Pachinko has been released.
'Pachinko', consisting of episodes 1 to 8, is a drama based on the original novel depicting the lives of Koreans during the Japanese colonial period.
Episode 5 Synopsis:
The main character, Seon-ja, arrived in Korea, the country where he was born with his son, Mo-su.
However, in his hometown of Busan, he had changed so much that he could not find any memories of the past.
Returning to Korea, Seon-ja is looking for his father's oxygen, and meets his older sister, Bok-hee, who helped with the boarding house long ago.
As soon as Seon-ja sees Bok-hui, he sheds tears of joy. Probably because of childhood memories and nostalgia...
Besides Bok-hee, Seon-ja had another childhood friend, Dong-hee.
'Bok-hee' and 'Dong-hee', who left when they were young when they heard there was a good job at the Manchurian factory,
After the war, he returned to his hometown, but became a person who could never be happy again.
In fact, the good thing about this Manchurian factory was the lie the Japanese told when they recruited 'comfort women'.
