Most Americans are actually always driving on their cars lol. Most people in the country have their own vehicles, especially in the rural areas in the Midwest where public transportation is hard to come by. Although I have to say, if you're in some major cities in the US, you'd rather use the public transportation than use your own car because of the traffic and cramped space lol.
